First off, I'm starting this post with an apology (like so many times before) as i've been digitally dead for a while. I just started university a few weeks ago so cut me some slack ok? ;) I'm currently writing this slumped over on my creaky bed, huddled in my duvet and using my laptop as a radiator; so that should give you all some gauge on how my life has been so far (BUT, for the record, it has been fun). On top of this, i've decided that the alternative title for this look is "Freshers Flu" as it's a very accurate representation of how my insides feel!
Moving on, as with my other "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" looks, this one is also inspired by the wonderful series Supernatural (who's enjoying the new series!?).
As ever, the list of products used is at the bottom.
This is the second installment in my "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" Makeup series.
This one is based on Pestilence, AKA "The Green Horseman", so I used a lot of dull, grimey greens and greys to look as ill and horrible as possible (great way to entice new readers right?).
The next horsemen will be "Famine" so stay tuned and leave a comment!
Oh and I've now set up an instagram account (ugh i've become one of THOSE people), so stalk me under "therabbitdied".
Products used are listed at the bottom. :)
"Disease gets a bad rap, don't you think? For being filthy. Chaotic. Uh, but, really, that just describes people who get sick. Disease itself... Very...Pure...Single-minded. Bacteria have one purpose --divide and conquer. That's why, in the end...It always wins."
—Pestilence (as portrayed in Supernatural)
Its been a while (like always) and I decided it might be fun to show you my love for makeup as well as clothes.
I decided to do a "Four Horsemen" set of makeup looks to kick this off as inspired by their portrayal in one of my beloved fandoms, Supernatural. Sam and Dean's battle against the impending apocalypse is by far my favourite storyline of the whole series so far...so this is basically me trying to fill the void left by Supernatural until the new season is out and "The Darkness" returns.
I will be doing each apocalyptic look one by one over the coming weeks so...stay tuned >:)
For this "War" look, i tried to use the colours associated with anger and fire as well as use sharp and angled lines to look fierce and fiery. Please leave a comment if you have suggestions for variations of this look or for other makeup looks you want me to try :)
"You think I'm a monster. I'm jello shots at a party. I just remove inhibitions."
I don't believe that current trends should dictate what people wear. However, I do know that a lot of people , sadly, do follow the fashion police. This post is to show all those people that they should BE FREE because some fashions that are "not trendy" are way more awesome. Or in the case of the crappy YOLO and hashtags on T-shirts, ALL trends are cooler.
Fashion is a circle, not a straight line. All trends come back in style eventually, we just need to help it along a bit!
1) Headscarves - You all remember these? Yeah, they remind me of my ten year old self trying to be a hippie too...Oh wait, i still wear these BUT just imagine...As an adult, no more bad hair days and you'll look like you just stepped out of an old fashioned french film. Plus, they come in all patterns and colours so they suit all skin tones and outfits. (Just be careful of fancy cars with the roof down...think Bridget Jone's romantic weekend with Daniel Cleaver)
